Nursing Director - Nursing Home jobs in Mcallen, TX

QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing
• At least 4 years total nursing experience
• At least 1 years supervisory experience; home health preferred
• Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Texas or compact state
• Demonstrable management and leadership skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for providing clinical direction and supervision of clinical staff to ensure the delivery of appropriate home health services
• Oversees the clinical coordination and delivery of home health care services including patient care plans
• Ensures compliance with established quality standards, and applicable state and federal regulations. Updates clinical policies as needed and communicates important changes to senior management
• Handle complaints and incident reports and resolve them in a professional manner
• Oversee intake process and qualifies referral acceptance
• Supervise case management and assures its compliance
• Performs patient admission, skilled evaluation and treatments to patients if warranted
• Responsible for selection, orientation, on-boarding, and retention, training and evaluation of nursing staff
• Assists in the development of office budget, provides daily operational resource management including staff, supplies, and equipment, and ensures optimal productivity for the department
• Perform other duties as needed
