Coordinates in-service training, continuing education, orientation, competency reviews, and other related training functions. Being a Nursing Education Coordinator - Home Care ensures compliance with all State and Federal guidelines for in-service education and new employee orientation. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Additionally, Nursing Education Coordinator - Home Care requires Registered Nurse (RN) License. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Nursing Education Coordinator - Home Care work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Job Duties Include:
· Building relationships with caregivers to create and maintain schedules, based on caregivers’ location and skillsets
· Working with fellow office team members in managing new referrals
· Managing changes in schedules and reassigning staff as needed
· Recruiting CNAs and PCAs for open positions throughout the Triangle
· Posting positions and monitoring applicants on job boards and scheduling recruiting events
· Initiating, scheduling, and attending job fairs and open houses to drive recruitment
· Creating partnerships with area CNA training schools
· Assisting in answering telephones, recording messages, and welcoming office visitors
· Participating in rotational on-call (additional pay)
