A Nursing Department Coordinator performs a wide range of clerical functions and administrative duties specifically related to the overall office operations related to the Nursing/Clinical department that includes, but not limited to areas such as maintaining spreadsheets, filing, answering telephones, faxing, new patient administrative reviews and other duties and tasks as assigned
•Understand the day-to-day operations as it relates to the Nursing/Clinical Department
Ability to define problems and tasks, collect data and establish facts, act and facilitate resolve
Ability to perform various computer functions, assisting with communication between departments and overall office operations
Promote teamwork environment
Maintain efficient methods to ensure daily responsibilities are carried out routinely
Report major incidents to the Administrator, Director of Patient Services s
Implement awareness of the company’s mission, vision, values and goals
Fill in as needed for others in the Nursing/Clinical Department
Answer phones in a professional and in a timely manner
Monitoring patient satisfaction and informing the proper departments of any patient complaints
Respects patient and employee rights and privacy, ensures security of protected information, practices in an ethical manner and is compliant to the agency’s compliance program and privacy policies
Complete other tasks assigned by Clinical Supervisor, Director of Patient Services and Director of Operations
Review for completion and accuracy of MD Orders
Submit all orders to the physician’s office
•Track retrievals of all MD orders
Maintain spreadsheet and MD order reports for Clinical Meetings
Notify DPS if orders cannot be signed
Mail SOC packages and Plan of Care to patient
Track SOC packages if not returned
Maintain SOC/POC Tracking sheet
NUSING PAPERWORK AUDITS
Under Supervision of the Senior Clinical Supervisor: Review Nursing packets
Sending packets to Nurses for revisions
Assigns all RN visits (SOCs, Reassessment, Special visits)
Special visits as requested- ensuring visits are complete within a 48-hour timeframe
RN VISITS DATA ENTRY
Run monthly Nurse visit reports from HHA Exchange ( SOCs, Reassessment visits)
