Nursing Education Coordinator jobs in Omaha, NE
Nursing Education Coordinator designs and conducts educational programs for nursing staff. Coordinates orientation programs for new staff members, develops programs to keep existing staff up-to-date, and acts as general resource for nursing personnel. Being a Nursing Education Coordinator evaluates the program results and competencies of nursing staff. Typically requires a bachelor's degree of nursing. Additionally, Nursing Education Coordinator typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires RN license. The Nursing Education Coordinator contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Shift Available:
- Full Time Monday-Friday
Responsibilities:
- Responible for all activities related to admission of residents to facility
- Handles all inquiries and ensures closing of all appropriate leads as dictated by type of facility
- Conducts interviews of resident or resident representative to obtain necessary personal and financial data to determine eligibility foradmission and explain all admission criteria
- Markets programs and facilities by preparing and providing informational brochures; answering questions; conducting tours, etc.
- Ensures appropriate admission papers and signatures are obtained from residents or responsible parties prior to admission andcommunicate special needs of new admits to staff ensuring a smooth transition
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experiance in healthcare
- Positive/upbeat attitude
- High energy level
- Attention to detail
- Good attendance
