Position Overview:
As the Early Education Director, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of our early childhood education center in accordance with state regulations and industry best practices. You will lead a team of teachers, ensure implementation of our curriculum, and ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for children.
Responsibilities:- Program Leadership: Implement a comprehensive program that aligns with Pennsylvania Early Learning Standards.
- Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of early childhood educators and support staff.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with Pennsylvania Department of Education regulations, maintain required records, and prepare for inspections.
- Parental Engagement: Foster positive relationships with parents and caregivers, providing regular communication and opportunities for involvement.
- Professional Development: Stay abreast of the latest developments in early childhood education and provide ongoing professional development opportunities for staff.
- Budget Management: Oversee the budget, ensuring financial sustainability and responsible use of resources.
- Health and Safety: Implement and maintain health and safety protocols to create a secure environment for children and staff.
- Technology: Familiar with utilizing social media. Responsible for using our system Procare/Procare Engagement App to streamline enrollment, tuitions, and payroll. (Training available)
Qualifications:- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in early childhood education, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or director role.
- Certification: Must hold or be eligible for Pennsylvania Director Credential as per the Keystone STARS requirements. May have the ability to obtain while working.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Pennsylvania Early Learning Standards and regulations.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, with strong organizational and communication skills.
- Passion: Genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing a high-quality learning experience for young children.
