    The DON works closely with the Administrator and needs to have the organizational skills to assist with projects. The candidate for this position must be able to lead the nursing department to provide excellent resident care. To qualify, you must be a Registered Nurse with an active Illinois license.

    Our Director of Nursing (DON) oversees our skilled nursing facility's nursing staff and overall nursing operations. The duties include evaluating and directing all nursing employees, establishing goals for the nursing department, and creating and enforcing compliant healthcare policies.

    Your Job:
    • Assist Administrator with policy development, strategic planning, and problem-solving, as well as ensures quality patient care with the best possible outcome.
    • Monitor the nursing department to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines.
    • Provide staff development with the orientation of new employees.
    • Act as a member of the Quality Assurance team.
    • Monitor progress on survey compliance issues when deficiencies are noted.
