As an MDS Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the Minimum Data Set (MDS) process in compliance with state and federal regulations.     Responsibilities:
    - Review and analyze medical records to determine appropriate MDS coding
    - Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to gather necessary information for accurate assessment completion
    - Ensure timely completion of MDS assessments and submission to appropriate agencies
    - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans based on resident needs
    - Conduct regular audits of documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
    - Stay up-to-date with changes in regulations and guidelines related to MDS assessments
    - Provide education and training to staff on MDS coding, documentation requirements, and resident rights
    - Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to resident care

    Requirements:
    - Previous experience in acute care, home health, or assisted living settings preferred
    - Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology
    - Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and resident rights
    - Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
    - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation review
    - Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
    - Leadership abilities to coordinate interdisciplinary teams
    - Proficient computer skills for data entry and report generation
