Nursing Education Director leads and directs the overall planning, development, and administration of nursing education programs. Oversees the design and implementation of curriculums to train and update skills and knowledge of in-service nurses. Being a Nursing Education Director evaluates the department's performance and ensures that all federal and state regulatory requirements are met. Requires a master's degree in nursing. Additionally, Nursing Education Director requires Registered Nurse (RN) License. Typically reports to senior management. The Nursing Education Director manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. To be a Nursing Education Director typically requires 8+ years of managerial experience. The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) plans, organizes, develops, and assists with the direction of the overall operation of the nursing department to ensure the highest degree of quality resident care in accordance with all laws, regulations, and Company standards. The ADON reports to Director of Nursing (DON).

Job Requirements:
- Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited school.
- Must possess current RN or LPN License and be in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
- At least three years’ experience in nursing administration, including supervision, preferably in a long-term care setting. Knowledgeable about regulations and standards established by Medicare, Medicaid and state and city government.
