Nursing Education Director jobs in Lynchburg, VA

Nursing Education Director leads and directs the overall planning, development, and administration of nursing education programs. Oversees the design and implementation of curriculums to train and update skills and knowledge of in-service nurses. Being a Nursing Education Director evaluates the department's performance and ensures that all federal and state regulatory requirements are met. Requires a master's degree in nursing. Additionally, Nursing Education Director requires Registered Nurse (RN) License. Typically reports to senior management. The Nursing Education Director manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. To be a Nursing Education Director typically requires 8+ years of managerial experience.     Qualification/Responsibilities:

    • Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment
    • Must have, as a minimum, two (2) year of recent experience in a supervisory role in a nursing care facility
    • Organize, develop and direct the overall operations of the Nursing Service Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the facility
    • Work directly with the Administrator and the Medical Director to ensure the highest degree of quality of care is maintained for each resident at all times.

    Shift & Wage:

    • Full Time Opportunity Available
    • Shift Needed: Monday through Friday, may have to work some weekends
