Nursing Education Director leads and directs the overall planning, development, and administration of nursing education programs. Oversees the design and implementation of curriculums to train and update skills and knowledge of in-service nurses. Being a Nursing Education Director evaluates the department's performance and ensures that all federal and state regulatory requirements are met. Requires a master's degree in nursing. Additionally, Nursing Education Director requires Registered Nurse (RN) License. Typically reports to senior management. The Nursing Education Director manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. To be a Nursing Education Director typically requires 8+ years of managerial experience. Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or higher. Three year or more of instructional or formal training experience and leadership. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
