    Position Summary:

    The Director of Clinical Education is a full-time faculty position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of clinical education, external placements, and on-campus clinical initiatives for nursing programs. This faculty member's primary responsibilities will include the recruitment of clinical affiliates. (S)he will forge new relationships with clinical partners, negotiate and obtain new sites for supervised clinical practice placements, manage clinical affiliation agreements, and generate reports for program self-assessment purposes. In addition, the Director will lead all aspects of clinical education in on-campus and community initiatives.

    Position Responsibilities:

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    • Expand Yeshiva University's practicum portfolio by networking, soliciting and negotiating relationships and partnerships with new clinical entities which can actively support nursing student supervised clinical practice experience placements in compliance with accreditation standards
    • Secure clinical site affiliations with hospitals/health systems, long-term care facilities, community agencies, outpatient primary care practices, and specialty medical/surgical practices
    • Assist in the acquisition, development, implementation and monitoring of a data management system to support students and program self-assessment as it pertains to clinical placements
    • Prepare students for participating at clinical sites
    • Engage in a regular process of evaluation and quality assurance of clinical sites
    • Create and submit clinical placement reports as requested
    • Assist with all other Program projects as assigned
    • Teach two courses, some time over the academic year



    Experience & Educational Background:
    • Earned doctorate in Nursing (e.g., PhD, DNP, EdD)
    • Master's degree in Nursing
    • Minimum 10 years of documented experience
    • Distinguished record of clinical and academic accomplishment, contributions to practice/treatment, and 3 years nursing practice experience
    • Minimum of 5 years full-time teaching experience
    • Current RN licensure and registration in New York State
