Nursing Home Administrator oversees all activities of a nursing home in accordance with established policies and federal and state guidelines. Develops strategic plans for profitability and is accountable for all operations and programs. Being a Nursing Home Administrator administers, directs and coordinates the business. Recommends and leads changes to improve the nursing home. Additionally, Nursing Home Administrator may require an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. May require a state administrator license. The Nursing Home Administrator manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Nursing Home Administrator typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. As part of our Dynamic Team, you will:- Organize and direct the Agency’s ongoing liaison among the Governing Body and staff.
- Employ qualified personnel and ensures adequate staff education and evaluations.
- Assist the Director of Clinical Services in managing clinical teams and planning.
- Ensure the accuracy of public information materials and activities.
- Interpret operational indicators to detect census changes and increases or decreases in volume, which could impact staffing levels, revenues or expenses.
- Evaluate performance of Director of Clinical Services.
- Implement an effective budgeting system; assures accuracy of billing.
- Consistently follow and uniformly enforce Agency policies and procedures to set an example for employees.
- Lead your team by Agency Mission, Vision, and Values and drives operations aligned with our Sacred Seven.
- Assess employees on an ongoing basis to ascertain their understanding and compliance with policies and procedures.
- Use statistical data to determine the quality and quantity of services.
- Supervise all business affairs and day-to-day operations.
- Plans and implement In-service and continuing education programs to meet the education and training needs of organization personnel.
- Fiscal Planning, Budgeting, and Management.
- Promote the use of the patient portal, physician portal, and Synzi.
- Promote Telehealth visits to support appropriate visit utilization.
- Assist with the evaluation of organization performance via performance improvement program, productivity, and quarterly and annual reviews. Assures the quality and safe delivery of home health services provided through the Organization.
- Assist in the development of organization goals. Develops, recommends, and administers organization policies and procedures.
- Assure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws regarding licensure and certification of organization personnel and maintains compliance to the ACHC Home Care standards.
- Stay informed about changes in home health and shares information with appropriate organization personnel.
- Promote home health referrals in the health care community and aligns with the promotion of collaboration with business development teams.
A few things you will need:- Home Health Care background required.
- Registered nurse with current licensure to practice professional nursing in the state of Florida
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct professional administrative personnel.
- Ability to market and deal tactfully with customers and the community alike.
- Ability to handle high levels of stress in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent observation, organization, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Computers, Microsoft (MS) Suite, EMR, technology and Kantime preferred not required.
- Knowledge of business management, governmental regulations, and ACHC standards.
