May require a state administrator license. The Nursing Home Administrator manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Nursing Home Administrator typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. This role is with a Home Health Agency in the STARTUP phase and has the potential to become full-time with benefits after the provisional period. The main responsibilities of the Director of Nursing include conducting initial assessments of prospective clients in their homes, overseeing the clinical department, ensuring excellent patient care, and implementing infection control protocols. Additionally, this role involves collaborating with healthcare professionals, coordinating with long-term care facilities, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

    Responsibilities:
    1. Supervise and oversee all nursing operations within the organization, ensuring smooth functioning and high-quality patient care.
    2. Create and enforce nursing policies and procedures to guarantee excellent patient care, while also staying compliant with regulations.
    3. Provide leadership and support to nursing staff, including training, mentoring, and conducting performance evaluations.
    4. Collaborate with various departments to coordinate patient care and optimize operational efficiency.
    5. Monitor and assess nursing documentation systems to ensure accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards.
    6. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in nursing administration to continuously improve operations.
    7. Manage budgets, resources, and staffing levels to meet the needs of patients effectively.
    8. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including Medicare guidelines.
    9. Coordinate with external healthcare providers, such as home health agencies, assisted living facilities, and hospice care providers, to ensure seamless patient care.

    Skills:

    1. Registered Nurse with over two (2) years of nursing experience, including one (1) year of supervisory or administrative experience.
    2. Demonstrated strong leadership skills in effectively managing nursing professionals.
    3. Excellent communication abilities to collaborate with staff, patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
    4. Proficient in nursing administration principles and best practices.
    5. Skilled in documentation review systems for accuracy and compliance.
    6. Familiarity with various healthcare settings including home health, assisted living, hospice care, and nursing homes.
    7. Experienced in managing shift schedules and ensuring proper staffing levels.
    8. Knowledgeable about Medicare guidelines and regulations.
