Nursing Home Administrator Responsibilities:
• Plans, develops, organizes, and directs the facility’s daily operations.
• Makes routine inspections of the facility and ensures that established policies and procedures are followed.
• Represents the facility in dealings with outside agencies, including governmental agencies and third-party payers.
• Maintains effective and timely communication with residents, families, and staff.
• Review and develop a plan of correction for deficiencies noted during survey inspections.
• Manages an excellent public relations program that serves the best interest of the facility and community alike.
• Maintains an excellent working relationship with the medical profession and other healthcare-related facilities and organizations.
Nursing Home Administrator Education and Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree (health care or business administration preferred)
• Must be working towards a Pennsylvania Licensed Nursing Home Administrator
• Experience managing a nursing facility/long-term care preferred.
• Experience working in a high-volume admissions environment is preferred.
