Nursing Home Director (Hosp. Op.) directs and conducts the activities of the hospital's nursing home in accordance with established hospital policies. Recommends changes to improve nursing home and reviews ongoing activities. Being a Nursing Home Director (Hosp. Op.) communicates with patients to ensure quality care. May require an advanced degree. Additionally, Nursing Home Director (Hosp. Op.) typically reports to top management. The Nursing Home Director (Hosp. Op.) manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Nursing Home Director (Hosp. Op.) typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. - Oversee and manage all aspects of nursing operations within the facility
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to ensure high-quality care
- Supervise and lead a team of nurses, providing guidance and support
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate patient care and ensure smooth operations
- Create and implement care plans for patients, ensuring their individual needs are met
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing feedback and training as needed
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Stay up-to-date with medical advancements, regulations, and best practices in nursing```Qualifications```
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred
- Current state nursing license
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in nursing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and care plans
- Experience working in a nursing home or assisted living facility is highly desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and shift management responsibilities
