Primary Purpose and Job Function: The Director of Health and Wellness shall serve as the supervisor of assisted living services, is responsible for the day to day operations of the Health and Wellness Department, ensuring the general well-being of residents through the delivery of high quality services in a manner that is consistent with the policies and procedures of KSMS Connecticut, Inc. (the “Company”), the Community, the philosophy of assisted living and applicable laws. She/He is responsible for the scheduling, training and overall supervision of the health and wellness staff.

Duties:
- Oversee and manage the nursing department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing feedback and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Manage staffing levels, including recruitment, hiring, and scheduling of nursing personnel.
- Ensure compliance with Medicare regulations and maintain accurate documentation.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
- Provide leadership and support to nursing staff, promoting a positive work environment.
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
- Current state nursing license and CPR certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in nursing leadership or management roles.
- Strong knowledge of Medicare regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of healthcare professionals.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
