Implements changes to improve nursing home and reviews ongoing activities. Being a Nursing Home Director communicates with patients to ensure quality care. May require an advanced degree. Additionally, Nursing Home Director typically reports to top management. The Nursing Home Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be a Nursing Home Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Qualifications
1. Cooperative and supportive work attitude toward employees, management, patients, visitors, and physicians
2. Ability to promote a favorable facility image with physicians, patients, insurance companies, and the general public
3. Ability to make decisions and solve problems
Requirements:
1. Graduation from an accredited nursing program, minimum ADN or AAS in Nursing, BSN Preferred
2. Minimum of 5 years OR and leadership experience.
3. ASC experience preferred.
4. Specialty certification required within twelve months: OR = CNOR or CNAMB; Perianesthesia = CAPA
5. RN with an active Alaska nursing license
6. BLS, ACLS, PALS
7. Evidence of leadership qualities
8. Strong ethical and moral character references
9. Language skills adequate for high-level written, interpersonal, and telephone communication in American English
10. Computer literacy
Preferred
1. ASC experience
