Nursing Home Director jobs in Tampa, FL

We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as the Director of Nursing of our non-certified home health agency.

The Nursing Director shall be a graduate of an approved school of nursing and currently be registered in the state with at least (1) year of satisfactory nursing supervisory or administrative experience and have the following responsibilities. The Nursing Director shall be an employee of the agency and may also be the Administrator in an agency with less than then (10) health service personnel.

• The Nursing Director shall be accountable for all Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Home Health Aides;
• The Nursing Director shall ensure that the professional standards of community nursing practices are maintained by all nurses providing care; and
• The Nursing Director shall be responsible for maintaining and adhering to agency procedure and patient care policy manuals;

In the event the Administrator is not a health professional, the Nursing Director shall, in addition to the above:

• Establish service policies and procedures in compliance with state health statutes and rules;
• Employ and evaluate nursing personnel;
• Coordinate patient care services; and
• Set or adopt policies for, and keep records of criteria for admission to service, case assignments and case management.

The Nursing Director shall establish and conduct an ongoing assurance program which assures:

• Case assignment and management is appropriate, adequate, and consistent with the patient care plan, medical regime, and patient needs;
• Nursing services are consistent with professional community health nursing standards;
• Nursing and other services provided to the patient are coordinated;
• All services and outcomes are completely and legibly documented, dated, and signed in the clinical service record;
• Confidentiality of patient data is maintained; and
• Findings of the quality assurance program are used to improve services.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $57,500.00 - $65,000.00 per year
