Immediate Supervisor Title: Director, Clinical Services
Job Supervisory Responsibilities: RNs, LPNs, and Registered Medical Assistants
General Summary: A supervisory position responsible for leading nursing staff.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- In coordination with the Director of Clinical Services, oversees clinical nursing care, ensuring compliance with established regulations and standards including quality assurance, confidentiality, and medical record documentation.
- Collaborates with director of nursing services on development and implementation of nursing department’s mission, goals, policies, procedures, budget quality assurance plan, and work standards.
- Provides direct supervision to nurses and subordinate staff, ensuring appropriate assessment and treatment of patient health.
- Collaborates with providers and nursing staff, such as chart reviews and accurate and complete documentation and coding, providing technical support and staff education as necessary.
- In coordination with the Director of Nursing, maintains high quality of care by nursing staff through continuous improvement of standards and protocols. Ensures all staff are trained in quality assurance/control requirements and meet these standards.
- Creates and maintains schedules. Ensures adequate nursing coverage to meet clinical needs
Education: Graduate from accredited LPN program.
Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience with progressively increasing management/operations experience with prior work-related experience in health care, preferably in a Physician group environment. Three years of supervisory experience preferred.
Other Requirements: Current state LPN license. Current CPR certification.
Performance Requirements:
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and payer regulations and requirements related to nursing including patient safety, infection control, and confidentiality.
- Knowledge of the policies and procedures of a clinic sufficient to Nursing Service operations and to provide effective patient care.
- Knowledge of Electronic Health Record (HER) for auditing, error correction, training and reporting.
- Knowledge and proficiency with computer skills to include; various computer programs, EMR System, Microsoft Office programs, e-mail and the Internet

- Skill in applying and modifying, as appropriate, the principles, methods, and techniques of professional nursing.
- Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making to achieve organizational objectives.

Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc. Occasional use of nursing equipment to improve clinical operations.
Work Environment: Primarily medical offices. Position is in a well-lighted office environment. Occasional evening and weekend work.
Mental/Physical Requirements: Involves sitting approximately 90 percent of the day, walking or standing the remainder.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
