Nursing Services Instructor is responsible for identifying training needs and planning, implementing, and evaluating the effectiveness of staff development programs within an assigned area of responsibility. Coordinates in-service training, continuing education, orientation, competency reviews, and other related training functions. Being a Nursing Services Instructor ensures compliance with all State and Federal guidelines for in-service education and new employee orientation. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Additionally, Nursing Services Instructor requires Registered Nurse (RN) License. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Nursing Services Instructor occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     A private Nursing College in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is seeking to hire Experienced Clinical instructors/Faculty to teach Nursing Clinical for the BSN & ASN Program.

    Required Education and Experience for the Nursing Courses:

    • Licensed to practice as an RN, or APRN in the state of Florida.
    • Minimum of 3 years of nursing practice/teaching experience.
    • Master’s Degree in Nursing or Doctoral Degree from an accredited program plus a Master’s Degree with at least 6 semester hours of graduate level content in nursing appropriate to the teaching responsibilities.

    Core Duties of Job:

    • Teaching assignment: at least 2-3 undergraduate Clinical courses in each semester online and/or in the classroom/clinical/simulation areas.
    • Students' advisement as assigned.
    • Active participant in program development, renewal and revision.
    • Perform appropriate levels of service within the School as needed
    • Adheres to the course syllabi and textbooks adopted for each course.
    • Oversees clinical/instructional material needs for clinical and/ or lab.
    • Maintains files of all course outlines and learning packets, as is appropriate.
    • Participates as a faculty representative at meetings such as convocations, commencement exercises, and honors day assemblies.
    • Teaches classes as assigned by the Dean of Academic Affairs and/or the Director of Program.
    • Conducts clinical rotations in a professional manner
    • Encourages students to utilize critical thinking skills while performing patient care in the clinical setting.
    • In accordance with Florida Board of Nursing, Rules and Regulations relating to Nurse Education, Licensure and Practice.
    • Faculty shall be responsible for:
    • Supervising all initial nursing procedures performed by the student in the clinical area and ascertaining that the student is competent before allowing the student to perform an actual nursing procedure independently;
    • Developing, implementing, and evaluating curriculum; and participating in the development, implementation, and enforcement of standards/policies for admission, progression, probation, and dismissal of students, and participating in academic guidance and counseling.
