Nursing Services Instructor is responsible for identifying training needs and planning, implementing, and evaluating the effectiveness of staff development programs within an assigned area of responsibility. Coordinates in-service training, continuing education, orientation, competency reviews, and other related training functions. Being a Nursing Services Instructor ensures compliance with all State and Federal guidelines for in-service education and new employee orientation. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Additionally, Nursing Services Instructor requires Registered Nurse (RN) License. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Nursing Services Instructor occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Gurnick Academy is seeking an experienced RN Didactic and/or Clinical Instructor, Part-Time with emphasis in Pediatric Nursing for our Concord BSN Nursing Program, CA Campus.
Basic Function
The primary function of the Didactic and/or Clinical Instructor is to teach the Gurnick Nursing students in the classroom or Medical Facility/Clinic for the Concord Campus, Medical-Surgical Curriculum.Requirements
- Current and unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in the state of California
- A Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) Degree from an accredited college or university
- 3 years of continuous experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care within the last 5 years
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse student body, staff, faculty, and administrators
- Ability to use computers and other technologies for teaching and learning
Job Type: Part-time
Hourly Pay Range: $42.50 – $55.00 per hour
