Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Unit Secretary in our Imaging Department, you will be joining a team that has a passion for creating positive patient interactions and a dedication to caring for the multi-faceted wellness of those we serve. In this role:

• You will represent the Imaging team by interacting in a professional and friendly manner with patients and other customers.
• You will perform clerical and receptionist duties in accordance with the philosophy, goals and objectives of the hospital.
• You will handle and track multiple phone calls, in and out, giving excellent customer service.
• You will provide accurate, timely, and complete documentation with use of approved abbreviations.
• You will coordinate patient appointments to facilitate customer needs, optimize patient care, and achieve departmental and staffing targets.
• You will participate in orientation of new employees/students and provide feedback to appropriate personnel.
• You will attend in-service presentations and complete mandatory education.

What qualifications you will need:

• Must have excellent telephone skills, etiquette and communicate in a professional manner.
• 1-2 years Unit Secretary Experience preferred.
• Experience with computers and medical terminology required.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written, and organizational skills.
