This is an independent contractor position and pays a direct percentage of revenue from your appointments. Hours are flexible, although primary needs at this time are for 2-4 days/week, and one weekend day a month of your choosing. The expected start date for this position is June 2024.

The essential duties of this position include:

• Provide patients (adult and pediatric population) with exceptional nutrition counseling and medical nutrition therapy, as well as support, encouragement, and education.
• Develop a relationship with assigned patients and assist them in working to achieve their nutrition and wellness goals.
• Guide patient through the process of managing medical conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, and high cholesterol by developing a plan collaboratively with the patient based on their unique and individual needs.
• Proper documentation and charting of all patient encounters using an EMR.
• Scheduling follow up appointments.
• Creating meal plans (if requested by Patient) using specialized software.

Requirements of the position:

• 1 year experience as a registered dietitian, preferably experience with nutrition counseling
• Must have your own laptop
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be licensed in the state of NV as dietitian and registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration
• Must carry your own malpractice/liability insurance
• Must possess or have the ability to obtain an NPI number and register with CAQH (instruction will be provided)
• Must follow all applicable HIPAA guidelines

The ideal candidate will have the following traits: organized, detail-oriented, motivated, dependable, compassionate, skilled in basic computer programs (i.e. Excel, Word, e-mail), able to work independently without direct supervision, excellent interpersonal skills and experience with counseling techniques related to promoting healthy behaviors.

A mandatory 1 year contract is required. Days and hours are flexible based on patient and business needs.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 32 per week
