Nutrition Director directs and oversees all aspects of an organization's or institution's nutrition guidelines and initiatives. Oversees institution of basic nutrition plans including individualized menu plans and monitors intake and acceptance of meals, snacks, and supplements. Being a Nutrition Director monitors and ensures proper nutrition education is provided. May oversee menu planning or food service operations. Additionally, Nutrition Director requires a bachelor's degree. Requires Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) from Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Typically reports to top management. The Nutrition Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Aaron Manor Rehabilitation and Continuing Care is looking for a Dietary Director to oversee and administer strategic, operational, fiscal, and personnel activities for AaronManor Nursing home. This position is responsible for the overall direction of food and nutritional services; The Dietary Director manages/supervises staff and ensures quality services are provided through daily operations, while adhering to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.
• Directs and manages the daily operations and activities for all aspects of the nutrition department and staff. Responds and resolves complex issues. Oversee menus according to establish regulations to ensure compliance with RD.
• Develops and implements departmental and organizational goals and objectives to improve the quality of service.
• Prepares and maintains a variety of reports and records. May conduct audits to ensure compliance and track system improvements.
• Takes ownership of assignments, special projects, pilot programs; other duties as assigned or requested.
• Communicates and listens effectively with internal and external customers; effectively understands instructions and shares knowledge.
• Cooperates and interacts with supervisors, peers, other departments and all customer groups demonstrating our commitment to “service”.

Requirments:
Minimum: A.A.S or approved Certified Dietary Managers training program. Must be Serve Save Certified. Have strong knowledge of HACCP.
Ability to manage a variety of projects; strong organization and problem solving skills; communicates effectively both orally and in writing.
Five (5) years of related experience of which three (3) years must have been in a supervisory capacity.
May be required to work irregular schedules including but not limited to as applicable: Evenings, Weekends, Holidays, on-call, and Overtime.
