Job Title : Manager I, Nutrition Services Procurement & Warehouse

Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced individual to join our Nutrition Services Management team. As a Nutrition Services professional, you will play a vital role in ensuring the procurement, logistics, and management of food products and supplies for our organization. This position requires strong skills in procurement management, contract management, supplier management, and logistics and oversight and management of others in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

- Manage the procurement process for food products and supplies, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition

- Collaborate with vendors to negotiate prices and terms of contracts

- Coordinate the logistics of food delivery, ensuring timely and accurate distribution

- Oversee inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and conducting regular audits

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement procurement strategies

- Fabricate and procure food items according to established guidelines and standards

- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to food safety and sanitation

- Maintain accurate records of purchases, inventory, and supplier performance

- Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for cost savings or process improvements

Experience:

- Proven experience in procurement management, contract management, supplier management, and logistics within the nutrition for foodservice industry

- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality control

- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Director of Nutrition Services, plan, organize, manage and coordinate procurement activities in the acquisition of food, supplies, and equipment for the Nutrition Services department. Develop, administer, evaluate, and award formal bids and requests for proposals per USDA and CDE regulations. Manage and oversee District’s Nutrition Services warehouse operations. Direct, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff.

Pay: $102,456.00 - $127,230.00 per year
