Nutrition Director directs and oversees all aspects of an organization's or institution's nutrition guidelines and initiatives. Oversees institution of basic nutrition plans including individualized menu plans and monitors intake and acceptance of meals, snacks, and supplements. Being a Nutrition Director monitors and ensures proper nutrition education is provided. May oversee menu planning or food service operations. Additionally, Nutrition Director requires a bachelor's degree. Requires Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) from Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Typically reports to top management. The Nutrition Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Nutrition Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Full-Time or Part-Time availability! Home every night and travel within a 150 mile radius.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Drive short and long distances to deliver feed product to customers on time
- Load and unload product
- Pre-inspection of truck
- Record all deliveries
- Refuel and clean vehicle
- Report road incidents to the dispatcher
- Obeys all traffic laws
- Inspect trucks and record issues
- Follow accident procedures
- Keep an activities log and log hours
- Report mechanical problems to maintenance personnel
- Plan routes using GPS system
- Maintain a positive attitude with customers

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS :
- HS Diploma or GED
- Valid and current Class A CDL
- Knowledge and ability to meet all traffic laws and DOT regulations
- Must pass drug and alcohol pre-employment screening
- Must provide a current MVR and have a clean driving record
- Must provide a current medical certificate
- Dependability
EXPERIENCE :
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable tractor -trailer driving experience
- Experience driving straight truck, belt truck and auger truck
- Experience driving in inclement weather conditions
