Obstetrics/Gynecology Director directs the staff and programs of the obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN) department. Develops and introduces approved standards and guidelines for OB/GYN services and programs. Being an Obstetrics/Gynecology Director ensures quality care for patients. Requires a MD degree. Additionally, Obstetrics/Gynecology Director typically reports to top management. Requires license to practice medicine. The Obstetrics/Gynecology Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be an Obstetrics/Gynecology Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Minimum Experience:

Under the direction of the TMC Chief Executive Officer, this position is responsible for developing, organize, plan direct and supervise all initiatives of the Quality Assurance Customer including the Performance Improvement/Clinical Effectiveness Program.
Work closely with Administration and TMC Market leadership to develop and maintain a comprehensive performance improvement and patient safety program for TMC.
Responsible for personnel management, resource allocation and control. Assume direction of participation in special projects as needed. Coordinate compliance with state and federal regulations. Develop strategies, facilitates, and supports interdisciplinary teams to improve and redesign operational and administrative processes critical to safe, high quality, efficient patient and family centered care.
Primary consultant resource for process improvement. Lead, develop tools, train and assist in selecting, managing, evaluating, sustaining and communicating outcomes of strategic process improvement projects.
Ensure integration of clinical performance improvement, analyze and present healthcare data, develop areas of opportunity and lead efforts in improvement, core measures and regulatory compliance.
