Occupancy Specialist assists residents or applicants of housing programs with the goal of achieving maximum residency. Assesses eligibility and collects required information, such as income. Being an Occupancy Specialist provides information/customer service and maintains records. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Occupancy Specialist typically reports to a manager. Typically requires certification as an Occupancy Specialist (COS). The Occupancy Specialist gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.
