We specialize in ensuring the health and well-being of workers through a range of medical services, including injury care (workers’ compensation), physical examinations (employer services), and commercial (urgent care).



    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a diligent and organized Surgery Scheduler to join our team. As a Surgery Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in getting authorizations and coordinating procedures with clinic, insurance, and patient communication. You will work closely with a team of medical professionals, including physicians, nurses, and medical assistants, to provide high-quality care to our patients.

    If you have experience in a medical or dental office setting and possess strong organizational and communication skills, we encourage you to apply. This is a full-time role in our multi-specialty surgery center in Encino. Bilingual in Spanish preferred.


    Responsibilities:

    • Directly communicate with surgeons, nurses, and patients to coordinate various surgical and non-surgical outpatient procedures.
    • Obtain demographic and insurance information to pre-register and schedule patients for specialists before and after surgery.
    • Perform clerical and administrative duties, such as processing patients' payments, verifying insurance details, updating and organizing patient information, preparing patient charts, filing reports, etc.
    • Be familiar with orthopedic, hand and plastic surgery surgical procedure terminology and the preoperative preparations.
    • Performs other general duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    • High school degree preferred
    • Minimum (1) year of experience in a medical office setting highly preferred (i.e. ambulatory surgery center, hospital, doctors office)
    • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
    • Organizational and multi-tasking skills
    • Strong customer service skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
    • Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality
