Occupational Medicine Director directs the design and implementation of occupational medicine service offerings that support the needs of local businesses and workers.     Description

    OSC is looking for a lead safety manager to be a mentor and coach for safety on site. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience with large scale projects and will ensure all individuals on the project site are knowledgeable and empowered to employ safety first, then work.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Monitors job site activity for all inspections and administrative tasks
    • Documents site conditions through inspections and written reports
    • Works alongside management team to implement a proactive positive safety culture
    • Conducts site safety training meetings for safety or risk concerns specific to the project
    • Reviews site safety conditions and assists in developing plans for improvements with project leadership team
    • Reviews infractions and improvements with the site management personnel and documents
    • Responds to safety concerns brought to his/her attention.
    • Responds to safety incidents and assists project management in conducting accident investigation and root cause analysis
    • Ensures compliance with all federal, state and company safety standards are followed on site
    • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

    Education & Experience Requirements

    • Bachelors’ degree and/or at minimum 5-7 years of construction safety experience
    • Professional Safety Certification including one or more of the following: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associated Safety Professional (ASP) or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST)
    • OSHA-Authorized Outreach Trainer

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Regular, timely, and predictable attendance is required for this position
    • Ability to problem solve independently
    • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and all employees
    • Ability to pay close attention to detail in all aspects of work functions
    • Ability to lead implementation of programs and procedures
    • Intermediate level understanding of MS Office suite, including Word, Outlook and Teams
