Alaris Health at The Chateau, a 251 bed-skilled nursing facility in Rochelle Park, New Jersey, seeks a director of respiratory therapy (RT)
Three 12 hour weekly shifts (6:30-19:00)
DIRECTOR OF RT RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Receiving & providing shift report resident clinical information
2. Completing initial ‘report rounds’ ensuring vent settings to physician Orders
3. Providing all ordered respiratory care services and clinical procedures
4. Assisting unit nursing personnel on resident out of bed periods and day room transfers
5. Maintaining on-going respiratory safety surveillance & PRN airway management
6. Complete all ‘new admission’ documentation and assessments
7. Respond & provide emergency BLS procedures as announced or observed
8. Document administration of procedures identified in EMARS, VFS & shift Progress Notes
9. Attend IDCC, morning meetings, Family Conferences & Resident/Family Educational Training
10. Communicate resident incidents, clinical developments to unit nurse & physician
11. Exchange respiratory disposable accessories according to Policy Exchange Schedules
12. Provide DME disinfecting procedures according to both Policy and Practice
Eligibility/Qualifications:
1. Graduate of an approved school for respiratory care
2. Credential CRT & or RRT by National Board for Respiratory Care, BLS & ACLS certified.
3. NJ Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner in good standing
4. Minimum of 2 years in acute/chronic respiratory care experience
