Being an Occupational Therapy Director monitors patient progress and treatment plans. May require an advanced degree. Additionally, Occupational Therapy Director typically reports to top management. The Occupational Therapy Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be an Occupational Therapy Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Responsibilities of Occupational Therapy Assistant:
- Provides skilled therapeutic intervention and services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
- Follows all regulations and guidelines of the facility including compliance with confidentiality and HIPPA.
- Provides documentation of patient’s condition, and provides caregiver/patient education as appropriate.
- Regularly discusses with supervising Occupational Therapist patients’ progress and any concerns or guidance needed.
- Ensures safe treatment practices and monitors patients’ engagement and responses to treatment modifications as necessary.
Qualifications for Occupational Therapy Assistant:
- Valid NYS professional license
- Graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Experience with rehab optima and skilled nursing facilities preferred

Lebanon (/ˈlɛbənən/) is a city in and the county seat of Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 25,477 at the 2010 census, a 4.2% increase from the 2000 count of 24,461.
