Occupational Therapy Supervisor jobs in Elyria, OH
Occupational Therapy Supervisor supervises the delivery of occupational therapy programs that help patients develop, regain, or maintain their ability to perform daily activities. Provides guidance and monitors the performance of the occupational therapy staff. Being an Occupational Therapy Supervisor studies, evaluates, and records patients' activities and progress. May require a master's degree. Additionally, Occupational Therapy Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Typically requires Occupational Therapist certification. The Occupational Therapy Supervisor supervises a group of professional level staff. May also be a level above a supervisor. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. Responsibilities
- Identify and meet patients’ goals and needs
- Carry out care plans using a variety of treatment techniques
- Provide quality, personalized and evidence-based care and proven interventions
- Motivate patients during treatment in order to help them function optimally
- Promote clients’ healthy lifestyle by improving ROM, strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination
- Consult and practice with other health professionals
- Assess effectiveness of treatments, monitor and communicate progress
- Document patient care services
Skills
- Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities
- Current knowledge of treatment practices
- Drive to continually learn and grow
- Professional behavior
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Basic computer skills for our documentation software
- Valid license to practice occupational therapy assisting in the state of Ohio
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
