Occupational Therapy Supervisor jobs in Lebanon, PA
Occupational Therapy Supervisor supervises the delivery of occupational therapy programs that help patients develop, regain, or maintain their ability to perform daily activities. Provides guidance and monitors the performance of the occupational therapy staff. Being an Occupational Therapy Supervisor studies, evaluates, and records patients' activities and progress. May require a master's degree. Additionally, Occupational Therapy Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Typically requires Occupational Therapist certification. The Occupational Therapy Supervisor supervises a group of professional level staff. May also be a level above a supervisor. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. Responsibilities of Occupational Therapy Assistant:
- Provides skilled therapeutic intervention and services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
- Follows all regulations and guidelines of the facility including compliance with confidentiality and HIPPA.
- Provides documentation of patient’s condition, and provides caregiver/patient education as appropriate.
- Regularly discusses with supervising Occupational Therapist patients’ progress and any concerns or guidance needed.
- Ensures safe treatment practices and monitors patients’ engagement and responses to treatment modifications as necessary.
Qualifications for Occupational Therapy Assistant:
- Valid NYS professional license
- Graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Experience with rehab optima and skilled nursing facilities preferred
