Gallagher Custom Machines & Automation in Mattapoisett is looking for an Administrative Assistant.

As an Administrative Assistant at Gallagher, you will report to the President and be responsible for payroll, bookkeeping, purchasing and receiving, preforming clerical tasks, and general administrative responsibilities to ensure an efficient and organized office.

We are looking for someone who can work 25 to 40 hours a week. We are flexible and can create a work schedule that works for you. Full time positions include health insurance, 401k matching, and two weeks vacation.

Responsibilities:

• Provide front-desk coverage by answering phone calls, greeting guests, and maintaining an organized, clean office environment
• Perform payroll and bookkeeping
• Purchasing/Receiving of components
• Drafts and edits letters, reports, and other documents
• Maintain physical and digital filing system
• Operate and maintain office equipment, including printers, copiers, and scanners
• Order and oversee office supplies
• Present a positive and professional image for the organization
• Special Projects

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with standard office platforms, such as Microsoft Office
• Reliability and honesty
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Basic math and accounting skills
• Familiarity with QuickBooks is a plus
