Office Manager oversees and manages the daily activities of office staff to ensure efficient operations, service delivery and expense control. Develops and implements procedures and policies for all administrative activities. Being an Office Manager typically manages record-keeping, document preparation, mail distribution, reception, bill or invoice processing, maintenance services, technical support, project coordination/scheduling, and other related internal operations. Oversees the selection of vendors and the purchase of office equipment and supplies. Additionally, Office Manager coordinates resources to troubleshoot, determine the best solutions, and solve problems. Tracks and analyzes operational costs and monitors budget. Recruits, trains, and coaches office staff to achieve optimal performance. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Office Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be an Office Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes. Retail District Sales Manager

  • Overview

    At Office Depot, the Retail District Manager is responsible for the overall presentation, financial results, execution of company programs and direction of 15-20 store locations. This position is also responsible for supporting the company culture, which includes but is not limited to consistent customer service, sales culture, store presentation and operational excellence.

    This position will require travel, as needed to each store location on a regular basis. The Retail District Manager completes DM Audits/Store reviews each month as well as coaching and developing the management team within the different stores. The DM will ensure total store compliance with all company policies and communicates these policies to all associates in a developmental, situational leadership approach.

    In addition, the DM will provide a consultative selling environment through coaching and feedback to all members of the management and employee teams; They will also work with organizations outside of the store to make Office Depot a leader within the local business community.


    Qualifications and Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
    • A minimum of seven years multi-store management experience which include at least two years as a Store Manager, preferably in a mid-size to large retail service-orientated environment, or demonstration of skills and learning through an internal development program and selection process.
