DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follows all standards and patient care protocols, all Federal, State, Health Care standards, and the
Flagler County Sheriff’s Office policies, regulations and guidelines;
Collects data about patients through interview, case history, psychological tests, and/or
observational techniques; evaluates data to identify causes of problems and determines proper
approaches or referral to other specialists;
Protect confidentiality of records and information gained as part of exercising professional duties
and use discretion in sharing such information within legal confines;
Performs crisis intervention services and respond to calls pertaining to (but not limited to) Mental
Health Crisis, substance abuse, direct agency requests, requests from Victim Advocates;
Provides counseling to deescalate current situation;
Develops appropriate service plans;
Facilitates access to needed services through referral and follow-up;
Maintains health services records and assists with data entry within the scope of mental health
related items;
Participates in continuing education and in-service training to maintain professional capabilities
and proficiency;
Performs all other duties as assigned.
