Being an Office Services Professional monitors inventory and places orders for office equipment, supplies, or provisions. Manages or administers accounting processes including budgeting, invoice processing, employee expense reports, reimbursements, petty cash, and time tracking. Additionally, Office Services Professional may support HR activities or initiatives with employee onboarding and interview coordination, and training. Performs company database or system administration tasks, including data input, reporting, user support, and upgrades. Resolves day-to-day problems and coordinates with stakeholders to obtain solutions. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Office Services Professional work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.     Responsibilities

    The work you may do

    • Perform activities associated with the negotiation and acquisition process of real estate purchases related to transportation and municipal projects.
    • Research resource material in preparation for negotiations including current title to property
    • Interpret and explain right of way plats and construction plans to individual property owners
    • Identify all affected parties and explain individual rights under eminent domain to those property owners
    • Appraisal review
    • Negotiate just compensation settlements with property owners
    • Understand and follow procedures of the Federal Uniform Relocation Act and Wisconsin State Statutes
    • Prepare and secure properly executed documents required for property acquisitions
    • Use the WisDOT READs system, as needed, for appraisal review, document preparation, payment requests, and eminent domain
    • In some cases, perform activities associated with WisDOT on Surplus Lands property management and sales

    Qualifications

    What you bringSkills & Knowledge / Education & Experience:

    • 1 or more years of real estate negotiation and acquisition experience required
    • 2 or more years of real estate negotiation and acquisition experience preferred
    • A desire to work in a consulting environment required
    • High school diploma or GED required
    • Experience and completion of IRWA and other related courses to be accepted on the WisDOT Approved List of Negotiators within approx. 1 year preferred
    • The ideal candidate will be a current WisDOT Approved Negotiator and have a Real Estate Broker license. We will consider candidates with a desire and ability to obtain them as well.
    • Prior experience with Real Estate Program Manual of the WI DOT and eminent domain process preferred
    • This position requires you to have authorization to work in the United States for any employer. We will not provide sponsorship for this position.
