Office Services Supervisor oversees and manages the daily activities of office staff to ensure efficient operations, service delivery and expense control. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Office Services Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Medication Assisted Treatment (“MAT”) Clinical Supervisor

  • The Middlesex Sheriff’s Office (“MSO”) is seeking a qualified professional for the position of MAT Clinical Supervisor at the Middlesex Jail & House of Correction located in Billerica, MA.  The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of a clinical work group in an outpatient addiction recovery environment.  The Clinical Supervisor is also responsible for directing care of patients, facilitation of work flow, serving as a resource for staff and providing team leadership.  This is a full-time, non-exempt position covered under a collective bargaining agreement (NEPBA, Local 525).  This position reports to the Medication Assisted Treatment and Directed Opioid Recovery (“MATADOR”) Program Director. The hours of work will be between 7:00a.m. to 8:00p.m. on Monday through Friday and the applicant must be able to work a flexible schedule.  Hours and days off are subject to change based on the discretion of management.   
      
    Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
     
    • Initiating, participating and fostering an interdisciplinary team to facilitate the best patient experience and positive clinical outcome;
     
    • Maintaining standards of professional counseling practice in accordance with clinic policies and procedures;
     
    • Providing supervision of clinical staff and ensuring compliance with state, federal regulations and clinic and corporate policies and procedures;
     
    • Facilitating staff assignments and creating work schedules; updates support staff when changes are made;
     
    • Monitoring the MAT Clinicians and ensuring compliance with MAT program requirements, clinical coordination for program participants and potential participants productivity requirements and developing improvement plans when requirements are not met;
     
    • Ensuring quality patient care; conducts treatment plan reviews, as needed;
     
    • Performing chart audits;
     
    • Assessing level of care for patients; conducting treatment plan review, as required;
     
    • Participate in reviews ensuring adherence to policy, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
     
    • Assists with hiring and training of qualified clinical staff.

    • Participating in staff development and performance improvement activities as assigned.
     
    • May also be involved in crisis intervention.
     
    • Ensures ethical and professional conduct by clinical staff;
     
    • Performing other work as required by Management.

    Working Conditions:
     
          • Working in a correctional facility on weekends, nights and holidays;
          • Required to work over eight (8) hours depending on operational needs within the HSU;
    • Direct contact with inmates/detainees in a secure correctional setting;
    • Standing and walking for prolonged periods of time;
    • May encounter verbal and physical abuse from offenders who are under physical and/or emotional stress. 

    The individual selected for the position of MAT Clinical Supervisor shall be cognizant of the confidential and sensitive nature of working in a law enforcement agency and must comply with all institutional rules regarding safety and security.

    Qualifications: 
     
    • An individual who is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor I, Licensed Mental Health Counselor  or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who has at least a master's degree in one of the following disciplines or a closely related field:  clinical psychology, education-counseling, medicine, mental health, psychology, psychiatric nursing, rehabilitative counseling, social work; and two years of supervised substance use disorder counseling experience; and at least one-year full time equivalent year of clinical supervisory experience;
    • Ability to attend all needed continuing education programs as required by attained certification and the MSO;
    • Excellent communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills in order to work amongst teams and through stressful situations;
    • Strong oral, written, organizational and time management skills with the ability to maintain comprehensive and cohesive records;
    • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and execute close attention to detail;
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access;

    In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.  Must be a Massachusetts resident, have an active valid driver’s license and the right to legally operate a motor vehicle in Massachusetts and pass a criminal background check.
