Job Summary
BASIC FUNCTION:
Under the direction of Home Based Supervisor or other program administrator, provide or arrange for comprehensive Early Head Start services (including education, health & safety, family support, nutrition, mental health, family engagement and other services appropriate) for up to twenty four (24) assigned pregnant women.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Human Services or closely related field including a minimum of 24 units in any combination of Early childhood Education, Child Development, or related field.

At least one (1) year of experience in Child Development or a related field.
Experience working with pregnant women preferred.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Child Development Teacher Permit is desirable
Valid driver's license.
Pediatric CPR/First Aid Certification
Be insurable and maintain insurability.
Employee must arrange their own transportation. If using own vehicle in the course of employment must provide proof of insurance.
Bilingual/Bi-literate skills are desirable.
Obtain a California Doula Certification (intro to Childbirth, Birth, Post-Partum and Lactation) within 24 months of hire.
ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS: The following documents are not required at the time of application but will be required of the selected applicant prior to employment: DOJ Clearance/FBI/CACI, Tuberculosis clearance, Pre-Employment Physical/Drug Screen clearance and Driver's License.
BENEFITS: A Benefit Entitlement for health, dental and vision coverage is available for positions that are at least 4 hours per day. The amount of the entitlement is based on the number of hours worked per day.
