Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage multiple clients’ specific needs leveraging a proactive process
- Perform monthly revenue processing and Joint Interest Billing accounting
- Complete production and regulatory compliance requirements
- AFE coding and reconciliations
- Prepare, post and reconcile journal entry transactions
- Prepare and analyze bank account activity transactions
- Maintain General Ledger and sub-ledgers and related account reconciliations
- Design and implement accounting processes and controls
- Guide clients in systems use, planning for business needs, and interpreting processing results
- Property administration, including DOI changes
- Compile revenue information received monthly from purchasers and verify volumes and prices
- Prepare and process payroll
Qualifications:
A minimum of two years of oil and gas specific accounting or bookkeeping related experience is required. A bachelor’s degree in accounting and oil and gas industry experience is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Particularly in Excel
- Familiar with oil and gas accounting systems, including Wolfepak
- Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize projects to meet established deadlines
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated with superior client service skills
- Strong organizational skills and demonstrates ability to maintain accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the firm
- Capable of working independently in a team environment
- Knowledge and understanding of oil and gas operations and terminology
