Oil and Gas Field Supervisor jobs in Albany, NY
Oil and Gas Field Supervisor supervises field staff that maintains and services oil and gas production facilities. Oversees testing and monitoring of wells, pumps, storage facilities and other equipment. Being an Oil and Gas Field Supervisor is responsible for safety of staff and production facilities. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Oil and Gas Field Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Oil and Gas Field Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be an Oil and Gas Field Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes. About the Position;
We are currently seeking an experienced Field Tester E in our Albany area, with a starting pay rate of $53.22. The ability to travel extensively to job sites within the National Grid territory. Under general supervision to perform duties including testing, diagnostics, and providing recommendations regarding repairs for mandated gas corrosion program. Update corrosion records as necessary on Pipeline Compliance System (PCS) database and related documentation. Train lower classification Gas Field testers in all aspects of corrosion.Job Qualifications:
- Must have completed NACE (National Association of Corrosion Engineers) Technician level course-CP1 (Cathodic Protection).-Disqualifying
- Must have a valid drivers license.
- Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
Salary:
- Hourly/$53.22
Please be advised that due to the nature of this position, incumbents are subject to federal Drug & Alcohol safety regulations governing US Department of Transportation ("DOT") covered positions, including the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Pipeline Hazardous Material Safety Administration (PHMSA). As such, the Company's testing programs and policies regarding the use of federally prohibited drugs or alcohol, for recreational or medical purposes, will remain in effect for these safety-sensitive, DOT covered positions.
