Oil and Gas Field Supervisor jobs in Altus, OK
Oil and Gas Field Supervisor supervises field staff that maintains and services oil and gas production facilities. Oversees testing and monitoring of wells, pumps, storage facilities and other equipment. Being an Oil and Gas Field Supervisor is responsible for safety of staff and production facilities. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Oil and Gas Field Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Oil and Gas Field Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be an Oil and Gas Field Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes. Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, the Field Service Technician responds as necessary to provide major maintenance and repairs on natural gas compression rental fleet equipment within the assigned region. This position partners with manufacturing and field service teams to satisfy customer needs by addressing mechanical and electrical issues during installations, maintenance cycles and repairs as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Perform skilled tasks including all levels of maintenance, repairs, and overhauls as directed by supervisory personnel.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose all levels of natural gas compressor system failures.
- Optimize compression equipment performance.
- Stay abreast of advanced natural gas compressor and engine theory and maintenance.
- Comply with all company and customer safety and environmental policies and procedures.
- Comply with all other company policies and procedures.
- Complete appropriate paperwork as directed.
- Perform duties as trainer when required.
- Continually hone and develop electronic and computer skills.
- Demonstrate and further develop leadership skills.
- Present a professional image.
Requirements
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5 years of experience as a shop mechanic or field service technician.
- General mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Working knowledge of oil and gas industry, including gas compression sector.
