Oil and Gas Field Supervisor supervises field staff that maintains and services oil and gas production facilities. Oversees testing and monitoring of wells, pumps, storage facilities and other equipment. Being an Oil and Gas Field Supervisor is responsible for safety of staff and production facilities. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Oil and Gas Field Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Oil and Gas Field Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions.     A-Gas Americas is looking to hire a full-time Field Service Technician, to service the HVAC and specialty gas industries. Are you a people person who enjoys being out in the field? Do you want to work for a company that values you and appreciates your contributions? If so, please read on!

    Job Purpose

    The Field Service Technicians are the frontline service leaders to all A-Gas Rapid Recovery customers in a geographic territory. This individual is responsible for job site service, preventative maintenance of equipment, refrigerant cylinder consolidation, and customer interaction. Projects range in size from single residential split systems to chilling systems operating on tens of thousands of pounds, to projects with thousands of units.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Travel to assigned work sites daily to provide reclamation and recovery services of refrigerant and other specialty gas as required
    • Provide exceptional service and customer support to all customers
    • Find additional opportunities for service, gas buy-back, and refrigerant spot buy sales that help to meet or exceed territory targets
    • Submit daily work orders and weekly expense reporting timely
    • Provide proper care for your assigned vehicle by keeping it clean, in presentable condition, and maintained according to the vehicle manual
    • Work in a safe manner, holding self and others accountable for safety standards
    • Other duties as assigned

    Experience, Knowledge, and Qualifications

    • A high school diploma or GED required
    • 1-3 years related industry or mechanical experience preferred
    • Must hold state-issued driver's license, be at least 21 years old with a clean driving record
    • Must have the ability to work flexible hours, overtime may be required
    • CDL Class C with HazMat Endorsement preferred, or ability to obtain certifications within 90 days of employment
    • EPA Universal Certification preferred or the ability to obtain certification within 14 days of employment
    • Must possess the technical knowledge to perform the job and follow all safety procedures
    • Computer skills required with the ability to type and utilize current technology
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external customers

    Physical Demands

    • Must be able to work outside in the weather-related elements
    • A lot of time will be spent in the truck, driving
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and talk or hear
    • This position entails very heavy work which requires exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally (possibly up to 350 pounds), and/or in excess of 75 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force constantly to move/lift objects
