Oil and Gas Field Supervisor supervises field staff that maintains and services oil and gas production facilities. Oversees testing and monitoring of wells, pumps, storage facilities and other equipment. Being an Oil and Gas Field Supervisor is responsible for safety of staff and production facilities. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Oil and Gas Field Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. This is a remote/ rotational position, working two weeks on and two weeks off or three weeks on and three weeks off, in Prudhoe Bay, AK. The typical schedule is 84 hours per week (40 hours straight time and a minimum of 44 hours at time and a half). All meals and lodging are provided by Worley while the employee is on location. Transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided.
Job Purpose:
The F&G Designer/Field Engineer will interact with Worley construction sites, clients, and management to support the planning, design and technical portion of various F&G projects. Responsible for designing of the following F&G system (but not limited to) clean agent fire suppression systems and industrial fire alarm/detection systems in addition to review of engineered drawing packages for deficiencies and errors and submit solutions to any project challenges that arise.
The position is located on the North Slope and requires a rotational work schedule. Relocation assistance to Alaska is not provided; however, transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided. Room and meals are provided while in Prudhoe Bay.
Essential Job Functions:
· Support planning, designing and technical issues on F&G suppression/detection/alarm systems, RFIs, material issues and other support issues to assist area coordinators.
· Reviews project proposals or plans to determine time frame, budgets, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various commissioning phases of a project.
· Develops and supports start-up / commissioning safety plans and procedures, assures conformance to company and client guidelines and state and federal regulations/codes.
· Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
· Coordinates and/or attends design, construction, start-up, commissioning, and qualification meetings.
· Design fire detection equipment, alarm systems, and fire extinguishing devices and systems.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
· Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, and drawings i.e. AutoCAD or similar.
· Strong knowledge, understanding and implementation of NFPA (Nation Fire Protection Association) standards/codes.
· Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction and installation or repair of fire and gas detection and suppression systems.
· Ability to communicate clearly with coworkers and supervision.
· Ability to work as part of a team with fellow workers, supervisors, and your alternate.
· Advanced knowledge and ability to troubleshoot fire and gas alarm systems.
· Ability to demonstrate adherence to established safety policies and procedures.
· Ability to demonstrate support for the company’s environmental management system.

Required Qualifications:
· Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in heavy industrial construction arena as a Fire & Gas Alarm System Engineer/ Designer with expertise in AutoCAD.
· State of Alaska Fire and Life Safety Systems IC (Fire Alarm Systems) permit or the NICET equivalent with ability to acquire SOA permits.
· Valid driver’s license required and ability to be insured by Worley’s auto insurer.
· High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
· North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC). Worley can provide NSTC certification training if needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
· BS Degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
· State of Alaska Fire and Life Safety Systems IC (Fire Alarm Systems) permit in addition to IIC and IIIC permits or NICET equivalent with ability to acquire SOA permit.
