Monitor and Drive the continuous flow of communication, paperwork and information between the shop and the Fleet Manager.
Works closely with Fleet Manager and Mechanics to ensure proper documentation, reporting, and tracking of all job orders and inventory.
Perform preventative maintenance and other repair and maintenance of trucks and tankers as needed.
Observes safety and security procedures; determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.
Planning, assigning, and directing work of Mechanics at assigned location.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Assisting with the hiring process including interviewing and training.
Appraising performance and issuing Performance Improvement Plans.
Addressing complaints and resolving problems.
