Oil and Gas Field Supervisor supervises field staff that maintains and services oil and gas production facilities. Oversees testing and monitoring of wells, pumps, storage facilities and other equipment. Being an Oil and Gas Field Supervisor is responsible for safety of staff and production facilities. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Oil and Gas Field Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Oil and Gas Field Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions.     SUMMARY

    Commercial Fuel Sales Representative sells fuel products and services to Commercial, Residential, and Industrial customers. This position is primarily responsible for seeking out and obtaining new customer accounts either by phone or in person to obtain new business and to develop incremental fuel sales.

    WORK HOURS

    Normal work schedule is 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with a lunch break.

    Occasionally, to meet customer needs, additional hours may be required to meet our business needs, possibly Saturdays or Sundays. Attends after-hour events.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

    • Compiles lists and identifies new prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, construction reports, Internet Web sites, and other sources.
    • Generates and maintains strong relationships with local businesses to promote, acquire and maintain fuel accounts.
    • Correctly quotes fuel estimates by ensuring proper product is recommended, sized and priced to job and customer at hand – with all affordable options. Presents completed fuel quote at time of initial estimate. For estimates requiring additional information, follows up with prospects within 2 business days to provide timely quote, information, support and overcome all objections.
    • Develops and maintains familiarity with all products and services offered by Palmer Gas & Oil and maintains industry compatible understanding with external options available, i.e., Brands carried, services offered, etc.
    • Investigates and resolves customer problems and concerns.
    • Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or create sales by phone. Cold calling potential customers to solicit sales.
    • Coordinates new customer set up and scheduling with Customer Service Reps and Service Department personnel.
    • Interfaces with builders regarding new equipment and tank locations
    • Reports all sales calls and sales activity as directed by General Manager in a timely manner.
    • When assigned, work Trade Shows that relate to industry activity resulting in sales development efforts. Represents the company at Chamber Events, Trade Shows, Business Expos, and meetings as required.
    • Responsible for maintaining personal CRM daily with information about the process of each pending sale.
    • Assists in performing tasks of other personnel within the department as needed.
    • Always maintains and promotes company brand guidelines and core values.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

    SAFETY Working safely is a condition of employment. Employees shall verbally report and photograph all crashes / injuries to their Manager immediately. If your Manager is not available, report the crash / injury to the Safety Manager, another Manager, or Human Resource Manager.

    For your safety, the company has Samsara dash cameras in all company vehicles.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or one to three years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to pass CETP 1.0 which is the Basic Principles of Propane.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS Must have the ability to speak fluent English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

    REASONING ABILITY Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
