Oil and Gas Field Supervisor supervises field staff that maintains and services oil and gas production facilities. Oversees testing and monitoring of wells, pumps, storage facilities and other equipment. Being an Oil and Gas Field Supervisor is responsible for safety of staff and production facilities. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Oil and Gas Field Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Oil and Gas Field Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions.   • Position Information Location: Orange, CT Pay Range: $101,400 - $126,700 Schedule: Ofice JOB SUMMARY: Scope of Work: Directs and supervises employees responsible for operating and/or providing technical support for the operations of the Company's electric and/or customer service activities which may include the dispatch of field operations crews in response to customer trouble and emergency calls. MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Provide technical guidance and expertise to employees engaged in the operation of the electric system. Develop and oversee general operating practices that promote the safe, reliable operation of the electric and/or gas systems, while providing high quality customer service to electric & gas customers. 2. Direct, plan, schedule, review and appraise the work of subordinates; schedule shifts; and interview employees. Maintain qualification to fill in for operators as required in an emergency. 3. Provide direction and assistance to operations staff during electric system emergencies. Prepare reports on system disturbances for management and regulatory agencies. 4. Determines operational practices, procedures and methods and resolve problems as required. Confer with management on major system changes, maintenance projects or projects involving material changes to the electric systems to maintain a secure system and provide reliable service. 5. May Represent Company on interdepartmental and regulatory committees and perform other duties as required. Education & Experience Required: • Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience preferred. Associates Degree with a minimum of 7 years relevant experience required. • Knowledge of the characteristics and operation of both gas andelectric systems. • Knowledge of customer service procedures is desirable. Certifications: • NERC Certification as appropriate. Skills/Abilities: • Results oriented and proactive. • Strong analytical, leadership, interpersonal and communication skills. • Able to make operational decisions under pressure • Able to take on special projects. • Demonstrated administrative and decision-making abilities.
