LDAR Specialist

G.A.S. is looking to hire an LDAR Specialist.

Applicant must live in the region or within reasonable driving distance. The individual that is hired for the position will cover the entire area. There will be required travel. A per diem amount of $50 is paid for any day in which overnight travel occurs. Starting pay is set at $22/hour with a raise after 90 days of employment.

Travel will take place in the company vehicle which is also the office that you will work out of. You can see an example on our website at www.gasinc.us. Benefits for chosen applicant include company computer, phone, full health insurance through Blue Cross/Blue Shield with an option of dental and vision insurance coverage, and a 401K available after 30 days of employment.

The schedule varies week to week, as it is mostly set by our clients. There can be short weeks, long weeks, short days, long days, or any variation!

The Job

Driving to job sites to perform LDAR Monitoring (Method 21 & OGI Camera) for (mostly) oil and gas producers

Calibration of monitoring equipment

Carrying a backpack (approximately 25 lbs.)

Climbing ladder and wearing a harness

Walking up to 5 miles day

Climbing ladders to access LDAR components for inspection

Utilizing multiple versions of software to monitor and track inspections

Perform repairs on leaking components

Monitor with an OGI (Optical Gas Imaging) camera and a FID analyzer to find leaks on process equipment

Communicating to the clients and your monitoring team

Ability to adjust on the fly and meet any customer needs

Filling out and turning in reports

Travel will be required

The position requires an individual with good organizational skills who can thrive in a solo and independent atmosphere along with providing excellent customer service relations.

There is no local office in the area as this is a field position and one is not needed. A couple of assessment tests will be required for anyone who is interested. We will mainly be measuring math and problem solving as it is used for the position. Interviews may be conducted via video conference should you be selected.
