Oil and Gas Superintendent jobs in the United States
Oil and Gas Superintendent oversees daily oil and gas operations activities at multiple facilities. Supervises and directs employees involved in production, drilling, maintenance, and/or construction through foreman and other lead staff. Being an Oil and Gas Superintendent requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Oil and Gas Superintendent manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be an Oil and Gas Superintendent typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Summary:
- The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing construction projects within the oil and gas industry, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project schedules.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with project stakeholders, including engineers, clients, and regulatory agencies, to address concerns, resolve conflicts, and achieve project goals.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure work is being performed in accordance with project specifications and industry best practices.
- Develop and implement construction plans, schedules and budgets in-line with project management and engineering teams.
- Develop and mentor junior staff members to build a high-performing construction team
- Provide regular progress reports, updates, and presentations to senior management and project stakeholders as required.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, environmental requirements, and quality standards throughout the construction process.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment and resources to support construction activities.
Must Haves:- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion in the Oil and Gas sector.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on oil and gas projects.
- Proficient in PM software and Microsoft O365
